Road to Thailand (Hatyai)

Been to Hatyai by Train from Butterworth. The journey from Butterworth to Hatyai is around 2 hours. Once reach Hatyai station you need to queue for the custom check for both side Malaysia and Thailand. The first step, you should buy a Thailand's sim card for you to access the internet.

The interesting place in Hatyai that you should visit, just like me.

1. Hatyai Floating Market Klong Hae (Hatyai Floating Market)

Hatyai Floating Market is a must to list as it is the most popular location here. Like the night market, all booths operate on boats docked by the river bank.

There are plenty of yummy foods in the Hat Hat Flipping Market that you should try. Interestingly, some dishes are cooked on a boat. There are even beverages sold in bamboo. Many foods are sold here and all are halal and sold by Muslims here. There are different types of dishes you can try.

Make sure you check the operating schedule before going there.

Hours of operation: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday | 3 pm - 9 pm

Address: Khlong Hae Khutao Road, Khlong Hae, Hatyai, Thailand

2. Asian Night Bazaar

One of the cheapest shopping places in Hatyai is the tourist attraction. Lose it if you don't stop by the Asian Night Bazaar. When looking for clothes, accessories, leather goods, or even wholesale, this bazaar is the location.

At night it is more lively with the presence of visitors. Obviously, you can already see the sale activity from afar. Don't forget to bid for a price, okay? Hope you can get a cheaper price.

Hours of operation: 3 pm - 10.30 pm

Address: Address: Thonon Chotevittayakul 5, Tambon Hat Yai, Amphoe Hat Yai, Chang Wat Songkhla 90110, Thailand

3. Steel Pagoda

Another interesting spot in Hatyai is the Steel Pagoda. This Buddhist shrine is made of stainless steel. What is unique is that at night it is illuminated with colorful lights. The color of the lights will change accordingly.

This beam of light will create a beautiful reflection of the pagoda and throughout the area. That is why it is often visited by tourists who do not want to miss the opportunity to take pictures. It is built on top of a cookie and it is recommended that you get a grab service.

Address: Kho Hong, Hat Yai District, Songkhla 90110, Thailand

4. Kim Yong Market

One of the great places to find a variety of items. Before you go to other shops stop by Kim Yong Market. It's cheap here and you can bargain. Not only the food available here, other items can also be found for those who are shopping for footwear such as shoes, bags, clothing and more.

.

5. Sports Shooting Club Hatyai (SSC)

Don't know about the existence of this Sports Shooting Club Hatyai (SSC) shooting club. It's a waste if you not to come here. It is not far from the steel pagoda. You can try different weapons but each one is at different price. Not only is there a small gun here, there are many different types of weapons available.

Guns, pistols, shotguns and revolvers of all kinds are here. Hold on and pick the weapon of your choice, it's time for you to try shooting at the target, All the bullets are gone, you can bring back the target as a reminder of how powerful your shot is.

Lastly, do not forget the taste of mango ice cream, taste delicious.

Pinatubo

Pinatubo

It took around 4 hours drive from Manila to Pinatubo. Once reached at the ground of Pinatubo, few jeeps are ready to drive you up. After done some registration and pay for the ticket and food, then you're allowed to continue your journey. Around 15 minutes on the jeep with rough road condition, then will need to continue walk to reach at the top of the Pinatubo. At the top of Pinatubo, you can have a very nice view and even can swim inside the lake with natural hot water at certain corner of the lake.
